Masters' Degree in Computer Engineering

Course Description    Announcement

The Industrial Automation syllabus includes the study of: Automation and Advanced Control Systems, Process Control and Control of Robotic Systems and Embedded and Real-time systems.

The Computer Science and Multimedia section of the Masters’ program includes courses on: Multimedia Systems and Technologies, Multiprocessor Architectures, Computer networks, Computer Vision and Human Interaction and Performance Evaluation.

The Services Engineering course includes the following modules; ‘Design of Enterprise Systems’, ‘Business Analysis’ and 'Service and WEB Systems Design'.

The program’s content is delivered via a series of lectures, lab activities, seminars and tutorials. Students have the opportunity to carry out research in the University’s labs which are fitted with modern electronic instruments, state-of-the-art software tools and experimental set-ups. At the end of the course, students will write a thesis based on a project that they have carried out. The project will be undertaken either in the University’s labs or at a company or organisation working in collaboration with the University.

The school of Engineering offers a Double Masters’ Degree in Computer Engineering. This involves a period of study at one of the University’s partner Universities: HIT in Harbin, UESTC in Chengdu or Tongji University in Shanghai. Upon completion of the Double Degree, students will receive both a chinese and an Italian masters degree qualification.

Job Opportunities

Thanks to the school’s collaboration with international projects, companies and research centres, graduates of the Masters’ degree will be capable of using their technical and scientific skills on an international platform.
