VISA

If you are a NON-EU students, please check if a VISA is required at this link:
http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en

PROCEDURE FOR ASKING THE VISA:

1. Acquire a valid passport for at least 6 months beyond the date on which you plan to return to your country

2. Determine with which Italian Embassy you will apply for your student visa. You must apply through the office which covers the state in which you are a resident or, with some consulates, the state in which you are a registered student. Note that you cannot apply for a visa through a vice consulate office, only a consulate general office.

3. Complete the application linked to the website of the consulate with which you will apply. Note that applications vary among consulates. Note the specific forms which you are required to submit to the consulate in addition to the application itself.

4. Note the visa application submission process for your consulate office. You must submit the application in-person, schedule an appointment, or submit the application by mail. It is crucial for you to follow the submission instructions so that you obtain your visa in a timely manner.

5. Ask for the validation and translation into Italian of your health insurance.

6. send the copy of the VISA to the International Office before the arrival in Pavia

If it is required, please email incoming.erasmus@unipv.it asking for the Letter of Admission indicating us which Embassy/Consulate they will refer to obtain the visa. Then I'll send the certified email to the Embassy (Ambasciata) or Consulate (Consolato) where they will ask for the visa too.

If you need the housing certificate and you found an accomodation with Centro Assistenza studenti, please email erasmus@centroassistenzastudenti.it asking for the Housing Certificate.
