CUCS

The Italian University Network for Development Cooperation (CUCS)

Founded in 2007, the Network comprises today 27 Italian universities aiming at:
  1. establishing Development Cooperation inside universities
  2. enhancing and improving the coordination on initiatives carried out by different actors in the same field, in order to:
  • became a privileged speaker / distinguished representative for civil society and governmental bodies, developing valuable collaborations with them,
  • extend the capabilities of project design and practical support to strengthen the sharing of experiences, knowledge and skills and focus joint efforts on key issues, consistent with the specificity of the universities involved and the respective mission.

Projects and initiatives realised by CUCS members are collected in DaBaCu, the database promoted by DGCS-MAE (the Italian Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Italian universities dedicated to Academic development cooperation.
