This 2-year course is an intensive, full-time graduate programme entirely taught in English and designed for graduates who are seeking an international qualification either in Business & Management or in Economics. Coherently with its focus on the international dimension, the course features subjects such as Marketing, Management, Economics and Law, all from the viewpoint of an international context.
The two different study programmes are respectively called “International Business and Management” and “Advanced Economics”. Both programmes are designed to help graduates to develop a sound grasp of theory and practice in their respective fields of study.
In order to fully exploit the international scope of the programme, students are encouraged to spend their second year in one of our foreign partner Universities. The extensiveness of our partnership network allows the Faculty to offer students a wide range of double degree programmes, Erasmus placements and access to the EMBS network.
International Business & Management Programme
The course gives students the chance to analyse and understand the theory and practice of management in the international business environment for large and small/medium enterprises, respectively. A sound theoretical knowledge helps students develop pertinent strategies and decision-making abilities in the main areas of international business (such as strategy, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, applied and quantitative methods). In addition, the course allows students to analyse the competitive international environment from both an economic and a legal point of view.
Advanced Economics Programme
The aim of the programme is to provide economists both an in-depth theoretical background and the necessary tools and knowledge of specific and advanced quantitative skills that are needed in current economic analysis and research. It is a standard post-graduate Economics course (M.Phil in Economics), focusing on Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. Students will acquire a deep understanding of advanced economic reasoning to analyse economic issues and problems. At the end of the programme, students will be prepared for successful professional or academic careers. Members of the teaching faculty are researchers at the frontier of their field. Students who successfully complete this programme are expected to be capable of carrying out advanced research in economics and of supporting decision making in the main areas of economics.
